The DVSA has updated the forms to use when applying for individual vehicle approval (IVA) along with the inspection manuals.

Applications from 1 August must be made on the new forms (available for use from now), although the new manuals do not apply until 1 September.

Forms and manuals have changed to reflect new standards

The changes are to make sure that vehicles comply with new environmental and safety standards, including emissions, fuel tanks, indirection vision, advanced EBS, lane departure warnings and electrical safety.
