Imberbus, the one-day bus service connecting Warminster with the ‘ghost’ village of Imber and other points on Salisbury Plain, has shared approximately £25,000 in fares raised at last year’s event to a number of good causes.

On 17 August 2019, 28 classic and New Routemasters operated the 30-minute service. Operators which contributed vehicles and crews include Stagecoach, Arriva, Go-Ahead, Tower Transit, Abellio, First, and Ensignbus. The operation was provided on Bath Bus Company’s O-Licence.

Friends of St Giles’ Church Imber, the Royal British Legion, Macmillan Cancer Support, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Salisbury Stars Hospital Appeal, Prostate Cancer UK, British Red Cross, Diabetes UK, Salvation Army Trust, Action for Children, Deafblind UK, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Purfleet Heritage Centre were each nominated by the bus companies involved and benefitted from the £25,000 raised.

Imberbus regrets to say it will not be hosting the event in 2020 owing to coronavirus COVID-19. It plans to return for 2021. Updates will be confirmed on its website.
