Coach and bus insurance specialist McCarron Coates has won two Insurance Times Awards, which are considered the top accolades in their sector.
It won gold in the Best Claims Broker of the Year category and silver in Commercial Lines Broker of the Year. In both categories the judging process began with shortlisting, followed by panel interviews.
McCarron Coates’ approach to highlighting the reasons why coach operators would not report claims instantly appealed to the judges.
Other reasons for their decisions were the broker’s willingness to go as far as becoming part of the recruitment process for larger coach fleets, helping them to take on better-risk drivers.
Says Director Paul Coates: “We have embraced new ways of approaching our business and our marketing. The judges saw that and commended it.”
